@sladerfoster wtf are you talking about what is airsoft????
-
@silvermediastudio i dont understand anything you say :)

ridiculous to pay that much for a fucking optic, the optic is use is an Airsoft ACOG replica for $99.00 and it works amazingly. I use it on my DSA FAL and have no problem whatsoever. Plus ive had it for 3 years ands its crystal clear

@silvermediastudio You good sir sure know your physics! I would love to hear that you are a school teacher.
-
you'd expect the Special forces ACOG would at least have a fiber optic on the top

Thanks for info - definitely cool stuff. Can some with knowledge give a comment on how this optics system rates compare to like an EoTech MPO III? Benefits, usage, etc - they seem to be equally priced but i believe thats only a tiny part of the whole story

Used this in Afghanistan 09-10, all around great scope.

@colinsilver105 The deciever is at worl.
@anthcybo You can't afford $1000 sight? Try this... if you smoke, stop. If you drink, cut it in half. Don't use the dishwasher. Turn the AC up a few degrees. Buy food in bulk, cook for the week, and freeze individual meals. Don't buy retail coffee. Rent from Redbox instead of going to the theater. Drive a little less each week. Cancel cable or just get the basic service. Sell 1 luxury item you don't need or never use, maybe 2.
That should get you well on your way to a new ACOG.

@cobainscousin Modification of Tritium, the gaseous radioactive isotope of Hydrogen they use to power the illumination of their optics. In general, it works through beta decay, which excites a phosphor coating on the inside of a vial.
Fluorescent bulbs also work by exciting a phosphor coating, but use electricity and a mercury vapor instead of beta decay to drive the reaction. The excited vapor releases ultraviolet light, which in turn makes the phosphor release visable light.
