SONY HDRadio XDR F1HD

I had an unused gift certificate to Amazon and decided to purchase this. I installed the Sony HD Tuner in place of my Yamaha Tuner (it was a matched stereo system back in 1991). I didnt read the directions, and instead of using the included FM Dipole antenna, reused the $7 square TERK FM antenna I have had for years. For the AM antenna, I unwound the included loop antenna and hung it from some nails. The video shows my presets after I scanned the Los Angeles HD Bands...there are more HD stations than show on the video...but the radio only has 20 presets for FM. On AM, I get KFI in HD about 5 seconds after tuning to it....there are a couple other news stations in HD but I would rather listen to them on my Superadio 3 or CCRADIO. Plus KABC, KNX1070 and KFWB980 added channels on the FM dial with their sister stations. Hope you find this video helpful if you are interested in HDRadio or this unit.

I received this tuner and a Sony table top free from a large broadcasting co as they started up a new station that was interfering with a distance station I had always listened to. Per the FCC since they caused the interference they had to supply me with HD radios that would recieve the signal. These radios do have outstanding reception. I am 8 miles out of the range of the station I listened to, but both Sonys pull it in very good, and other radios don't even recognize the signal.
