  • Hi guys, I'm a bit stuck on what to get for my gaming rig.

I'm getting a i5 2500k and a P8H61 motherboard, and I am intending on overlocking the i5. Would the Noctua be able to fit on my motherboard as it is socket 1156 and my motherboard/processor is 1155?

  • @iUKWill H61 does not support CPU overclocking so you need to go and change that quickly :p

  • @TimeToLiveCustoms If so, what motherboards at about an £80 price range support CPU overclocking? I was fairly sure the H61 could support CPU overclocking as people on the Ebuyer forum said that it could, but you are the expert so I won't question you.

  • @iUKWill Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 is as cheap as I would go. H61 100% doesnt support proper overclocking mate.

  • personal opinion,

    XSPC Rasa 750 RS240 WaterCooling Kit+200x200mm rad (have the config, res>240 rad>cpu>mobo>rad>gpu>res)

or get this heatsink and just use fans for rest? your personal opinion please

  • @D1rtyDubstep loop order makes NO difference just build it tidy. thing is that pump res compo isnt really up to all those blocks

  • WIll this fan fit with the Gskill Ripjaw memory? im not sure if this will actually touch or block them.

  • @whatcd sorry forget to tell you that i bought noctua nh d-14 and dont know where to connect power pin on motherboard

  • i have intel DX58SO.... i dont know where to connect combined pin on mother board could you help me out.... should i connect the of both fan combined to cpu fan on motherboard or should i connect to somewhere else...pls help me any link would help....thx

  • @OwnerJord If you are not overclocking, stock cooler would be enough, but if you want some aftermarket cooler for less noise and little better cooling, I would go with like cooler master hyper 212 evo or plus.

  • @Syncedize Ah thanks. What would you recommend instead? I was just thinking of Air Flow efficiency, I'm getting the CoolerMaster HAF X, so cooling is pretty much covered due to the cable management in that case, but I don't want my Processor getting crispy, better safe then sorry!
