SelectPlusMystery Shoe Filled With Remains DiscoveredMystery Shoe Filled With Remains DiscoveredThe Associated PressAn athletic shoe containing bones and flesh has been found on a beach about 30 miles west of Port Angeles, and authorities are investigating whether it may be linked to a series of human feet found in shoes in nearby British Columbia waters. (Aug. 4)Another shoe containing human remains has washed ashore in the Pacific Northwest.SOTA shoe with a sock in it and some bones and flesh in it. It appeared to be human bones.Five other severed feet in sneakers have been found just north of here in Canada and this discovery is adding to the mystery.SOT Well my first though was we should be talking to the RCMP in Canada because our initial blush was that this was related.Officials aren't releasing much details of the shoe like the brand or the size, but do say that it was a right one like most of the others that were discovered.Crews are still on the scene with dogs searching for more remains.The foot was found on Friday and authorities say they're not sure how long it had been there, though they do say the remains appear to be decomposed.SOTSince it wasn't found floating in the water it could have been there for sometime before it was discoveredOfficials are running tests on the remains now and hope to have initial results by the end of the week. ___ ___, The Associated Press.
