  • Agreed. We need Ron Paul as our president to keep fascism from taking hold. The current system is about corporate welfare and does not protect individuals. The FCC is operating outside the law just like the IRS and the CIA. DHS is yet another facade. All of these agencies are helping to develop a police state. It needs to stop now.

  • I hate to say it (mostly because the implications are frightening), however there is no real difference between Bush/Clinton/Democrats/Republicans. Sorry but that's the way it is. Bush might be worse at hiding it but your entire political process is a sham. You are all living in a facist state. I love my american neighbours to the south but get your heads out of your arses because you're killing us all!

  • This is like a tiny warning shot across the bow of the public ship. No matter how slick is Kevin Martin, the machinations of the media oligarchy are, rather crudely, staring us all in the face. This is a microcosm of all the ways in which centralized corporate power overrules and (even if somewhat regulated) does pretty much whatever it wants.

  • FCC Chair Martin never did answer the question about what is so compelling that this change needs to be implemented now. What's the rush? Yeah, Bill Clinton did a lot of things to appease the corporations & the right-wingers who support them. He still wasn't as bad as the crew in the White House now and their appointees, like Martin. They ONLY look out for BIG business.

  • I can't BELIEVE Clinton signed the Telecommunications Act in 96. What a total disaster.
