thats my cousin and i aint kno he could jump like that... well i guess you can it runs in the family.... im 5'10 and jump 7 ft in the high jump

ya, and i do love box jumps for sprinting... good hip flexor speed exercise... i personally do hurdle leaps plyo style.

yeah it was big for him because he was at a 37" vert. Why so angry on the box jumps lol

they are pissing me off lately.. i mean ive personally seen people with crappy verts get on to some high boxes because they have:
1. balls
2. great hip flexibility
and i just dont like them for trying to increase vert... everyone is nuthugging them so much now ;)
you got good stuff, so does defranco, im just talking about other people who just do them to look cool ;D

I hear ya. Basically we gauge it two ways and obviously I can't speak for everyone. This is something we have come up with depending on heights of the box our athletes jump. These numbers only work with athletes who have 50+ box jumps: Verticals are 18"- 22" lower then the height an athlete jumped and if your able to box jump 54" you should run a 4.5 or lower.
