@leafbarrett There's always Pokémon Battle Revolution :3

@TheKetsuban Oh yes. :3 Maybe a Xatu, since this is gen 2, though. I prefer the Gardevoir option, though X3

If only Zam had ThunderPUNCH instead of Thunder Wave.... Then again, I suppose if that was the case, then he would have been in trouble several other times, huh?

“We can't look to the mysterious future.”
Time to hire a Gardevoir analyst, perhaps? :P

All of the Announcer Chronicles are solo efforts, played, dubbed, and (where necessary) edited by myself.
This one just happens to be a different kind of solo effort as well, of course.

tbh, i think you're obviously a very good trainer, and i dont mean to come across as an online nerdy loser that likes to use the internet to complain, but im surprised you went with only alakazam with 1 actual attack mainly because of this thing known as a dark type

Hmm, speaking of Mirror Coat.
If you used while having up a Substitute, wouldn't you always fail to inflict damage?
(And we're assuming that the opponent is not using a dark type Pokemon.)

It took a while to arrange the test the way I needed it, but Counter or Mirror Coat from behind a substitute does not pay back any damage at all, even if it's the right type of attack, and even on the turn that breaks the substitute. That's why you generally don't pair those moves with each other on the same moveset.
Attacking a substitute with Mirror Coat, though, works just fine, getting in for the usual damage which is almost always enough to break it.

why didn't you see the moves instead of crying about the thunder wave? ._.

It's a chance to give some personality to the announcer, separate from the battler. The Thunder Wave was deliberate even as I was recording the battle, and for the commentary (which was post-dubbed) I knew when it was coming up and used it as an opportunity to hit a spot.
