when my dad cut his off he tied them together & put them in a vase & they're still there...and that was about 9 years ago! LOL

PS. Onyxanya, re what to do with your left over locks, something to do with art. You could always make a collage using scrapes of material of yourself and then use your own left over locks on the collage as your hair. I think that would be really unique! :0) Let us know what you did in the end, woudl be fab to see! :0)

I'm SO gutted now! :( I didn't know about the 'locks of love' for cancer patients when I removed mine. I had almost 2 foot of length on each dread that was cut, left me with about 4 foot on my head to take out. But damn! I reckon my ones that I cut off, could of made a whole head dread wig!! There where bundles of them! I'm just SO gutted because Cancer Research & Breast Cancer Awareness are my two main charities. THANX ONYXANYA for the info on 'Locks of Love'! <3 I know for next time! :0)

mine are in my closet in a zip loc bag...im tempted to weave them back in lol, seriously tho i had to go thru a cleans and some of these ideas are great. Im an East coast dude that went threw some things on the west coast and i was gonna toss them in the pacific to leave my problems out there, but i like the art ideas as well. Peace people!

I'm a creative person.. I think I would do some type of artwork w/them--wrap em in wire and place in a glass box or something. What would be really funky it to weave them together somehow and make it a wall hanging.

Girl,I buried one set and planted a tree on top of them.you can give them to locks of love for the cancer patients or burn them with white sage for a cleansing situations.

I really like those ideas. Now, the locks of love thing, thats great, but I just wonder how do they use them. Would they just make a wig out of it? Cuz that is a great idea to donate it to that foundation.

I honestly haven't done anything with them yet lol. They're still bundled up and sitting on my shelf.

You should keep some of them and use them when you want to make a fuller bun or loc some together to make them longer and use them to wrap around your buns.
