It's about time someone posted this! Last time I heard it was in '78 while on vacation. A Scottish friend had taped it for me but I lost it. Although the version I listened had more edge to it....nice all the same to hear it again. Thanks!
@flaxonx3 - you're right - but I wouldn't drag Tonight into it. When Punk started the Whistle test would feature bands like Talking Heads, Devo, Dire Straits etc - they took a hell of a lot of time to actually feature punk bands - Chelsea, Tha Adverts, The Damned - all these bands should have been on in 1977 - not 79. I think Tonight were very energetic and fitted in with what was going on at the time really well.
This was like punk-lite in the early days of punk crossing into the mainstream consciousness when the BBC was terrified of the real thing. Great pop record though reminding me of my best year at school.
