Yes most black people in the states voted for Obama because hes half black, but there had never been a black or half black prez before so people wanted to see if they could get someone "like him" as president.
Also George Bush was a Republican and gave Republicans a bad rep during his presidency so most people wanted a Democratic prez for a change.
