These ideas can be used both inside and outside the home.

These exercises all help to stimulate and satisfy a dogs natural instincts.

Dogs love to sniff, hunt & find, so why not provide an acceptable outlet for these instinctive behaviours. If you dont, they may find their own way to satisfy these urges. So why not work with them and have fun, there is nothing more enjoyable than seeing a dog with tail wagging, excitedly using its nose.

In this video i have provided just a few ideas on how you can do this and have fun:))

Hope you enjoy.

All my dogs are trained positively with the Clicker method:))

  • Hum?? Tea bag? I do comp obedience and also use MY scent on all kinds of stuff like sticks/ toys/ even leaves!

Is there a reason using tea? Here in the USA we use birch, clove and anese. Sorry about the spelling of the last one.

Do you compete? I love the look of your Sprollie! Does this mix work better than other Border Collie mixes? Border Jacks were really popular here a few years back, Oh.... Also Border Sfaffies too for flyball!

    LOVE your scent you tubes!

  • i'm guessing this would work really well with bloodhounds. i have a bloodhound mastiff cross and was just wondering how well this would work with him? or would outside nose work suit him best since he is native to outdoor tracking?

  • love it :)

  • @watchmoivies123 Hi Thankyou:)) with the scent clothes i just rub my scent on them and with the big cloth on the floor i hide a tea bag under it and she is searching for the tea bag scent.. My dog Inca is a Sprollie .....border collie x springer spaniel..though not a first cross her dad was a choc tri border collie and her mum was a black and white sprollie...she was the only choc one in the litter and the only one left!! isnt she just simply gorgeous :)))
