Probably, but I think he's been there for years, so he probably has callouses built up against it.

or did you mean his left hand when working the tools on the glass? in that case, yes, its warm, but not unbearable. you'll often see assistants using wooden paddles to shield a blowers forearms, thats where it gets annoying most.

unless you grab up closer to the head of the pipe, which would be as dumb as a Marine trying to fire a jammed rifle, its more or less room temp.
