Natty Dread 1974

Lycris:

(Do do do do-do do do!
Do do do do-do do do!
I rebel music;
I rebel music.)
Why can't we roam (oh-oh-oh-oh) this open country? (open country)
Oh, why can't we be what we wanna be? (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
We want to be free. (wanna be free)

3 o'clock roadblock - curfew,
And I've got to throw away -
Yes, I've got to throw away -
A yes-a, but I've got to throw away
My little herb stalk!

I (rebel music) - yeah, I'm tellin' you! -
(I) I rebel music (rebel music). Oh-ooh!

Take my soul (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
and suss - and suss me out (suss me out). Oh-ooh!
Check my life (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh),
if I am in doubt (I'm in doubt); I'm tellin':
3 o'clock roadblock - roadblock - roadblock,
And "Hey, Mr. Cop! Ain't got no - (hey) hey! (hey, Mr Cop) -
(What ya sayin' down there?) - (hey) hey! (hey, Mr Cop) -
Ain't got no birth certificate on me now."
---
/Instrumental break/
(I rebel music)
(I rebel music)
(oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
(open country)
(oh-oh-oh)
---
(Do do do!)
I (rebel music) - yeah, I'm tellin' you! -
(I) I rebel music (rebel music).

Oh-ooh! Take my soul (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
and suss - and suss me out (suss me out). Oh-ooh!
Check my life (oh-oh-oh-oh-oh),
if I am in doubt (I'm in doubt); I'm tellin':
3 o'clock roadblock - roadblock - roadblock,
And "Hey, Mr. Cop! Ain't got no - (hey) hey! (hey, Mr Cop) -
(What ya sayin' down there?) - (hey) hey! (hey, Mr Cop) -
Ain't got no birth certificate on me now."

  • w/bone thugs omg i love this song

  • what do bob and John Lennon have in common? the people who own our mainstream news wanted them dead. info wars bra! get hip or get you good slave shoes on, it's going to be a long fight.

  • @subg88 ok thanx for the reply... i was guessing on sound, ahving started to pay more attention to the different keyboard sounds.. so i guess that means my ears, or memory are improving..

  • @psynapsurfa

Usually during live footage you can see a clavinet d-6, that would be my guess.

  • Happy Birthday Bob Marley! R.I.P - One Love.

  • @da4kool2aid0killa the 2nd is his deputy.

  • I LOVE BOB MARLEY, BUT I HATE HOW PPL THINK IMA POT HEAD JUS CUZ I LISTEN TOO HIM, I DNT EVEN SMOKE WEED I JUS APPRECIATE EXCELENT MUSIK

  • @MrGabsol dam straight... this album is a pure thriller... my body goes gooose bumps all the time thru this album...

i agree, i dig burnin, and catch a fire too, as they still had bunny and pete, and their wonderful harmonies, that the i threes never replicated. the i threes were wonderful, i love what they added to the group, but i still think bunny and pete had some thing special. imagine both the i threes and bunny and pete. this album shines on its own tho too.

  • does anyone know if the keys that are being played are a clavichord?

  • one of my all time favorite tracks, from any artist in any genre is this track.. superb...
