hey man :) i got a nex-5, i want to know if the sony amout adapter work in automatic mode with the lenses of sony ?? because i bouth a adapter for use canons lenses but it only works in manual mode and aswel if i move just little bit the foto will be shit :( but with the normal 18-50m of my nex-5 even if i move the foto is good and clear, but i want to knows if the sony adapter will focus or work and automatic mode with the adapter and lenses??? hope u write me back. thank you for your video :)

@dobrazil20 - for the AF to work on the alpha lenses, you need to upgrade the firmware. It's available on the Sony website and very easy to do....takes just 20mins. You will upgrade the firmware for the mount and the camera. But, the AF on the alpha lenses is VERY SLOW. I'd rather manual focus because it is so slow :(

Holy cow! I'm also looking at the SOny SLT-A33! At almost the same price range, that seems more compelling now. Well except for the size. Hhmmm....

Hey, good video... Just a heads up.. If you upgrade your firmware to the new V03 firmware, the camera will be able to AF...

@micdy - Firmware done! Yup! Works like a charm. Doesn't focus as fast as when the alpha lens is on a standard dslr, but it works fine :)

Their is 2 different firm wares for this camera 1 for the body and the other for the mount adaptor I have the Nex-5 update it to do more with other lenses
