This is an update to the Volcano Washer Hydrogen Generator. It is finally assembled, but needs the sealant to dry before I can test it.

This build is just to show proof of concept. If it works well, I will build a larger scale design which will be used for testing Liters Per Minute and its effectiveness on other applications, such as torches/welding, cooking, or heating.

  • Also curious about the smaller washers... Would the smaller washer defeat the purpose of the large washers? Electricity will follow the path of least resistance, right? Therefore, will it even ever pass through the outer edge of the large washer? Did you experiment anymore with the wool?

  • @shueydance You are definitely right about the smaller washers. I only used them, because I didn't have enough 3" washers to complete the build. I had an incident with the steel wool. If you short it out, you get an explosion.

  • @HHO4ALL is there a way to get a parts list for this? I am very new to this and need more information. is the wire stainless as well? what size (304) in gauge is the stainless? does it have to be washers or could it be 3 inch square plates? how many volts are you hitting the system with? does the unit heat up? how big does the water container have top be? can you run a circulation pump to the system to keep it full of water?

man i could ask all kinds of questions...

  • @johnwoodykirkwood Video 60 lists the parts for this HHO Generator. You can find it on my channel.

I use vinyl coated galvanized steel rope that is approx. 12 gauge in size. The washers are 316 stainless. You can use 3" plates, but I'd recommend 4", because it is still small, but has more surface area.

I'm using 12V from a PC Power Supply, and the Cell heats up to around 110F.

The container should be slightly bigger than the Cell, so you don't waste energy on charging excess water.

  • Nice work mentor! Eager to see your results. I am actually working on a simple washer splitter cell. Can't wait to get it finished. Just waiting on the Ripstop Nylon membrane material.

  • @jdcproducts Hahaha... The force is strong with this one!

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

  • Have you experimented with surfacing the washers? I remember watching a video on the diet soda and mentos. They said one of the best results the got was because of the standard mentos has more surface area. I mean if you rough the surface, maybe there would be more output.

  • very nice channel and vid too i sub next big project i want to do one day

  • I'm definitely looking forward to ur next video bro...keep up to good work :)

  • @shartne This is just the small version, so I know if the design is worth making a larger version. Can't wait for the sealant to dry, so I can test it.
