1989 LX Mustang 5.0, Flowtech longtube headers made by Holley. 3" piping from collectors to dumps. 3" flows. No Cats. Better than what I used to have. Stock headers, 2 cats 2.5" straight pipe.

  • did you have problems installing the flowtech longtubes? cause everyone says that there a bitch to install or you can put them in

  • Uhhhh......Yeah, it sucked! Had a buddy help me. We ended up raising the motor just about a foot. Went from the top on the passenger side, and from the bottom on the drivers. Your gonna have to take out your steering shaft first. When we lifted it a foot it still took a lil muscle to get them in. Hopefully you have better luck.

  • i might as well go with shorties then.

  • Shorties are coo. The only minor prob I have with them is depending on which ones you get its gonna be a bitch to put the spark plugs in.

  • @crenshaw502 Yes it was a bitch even for my 67 ford f100 we had to drop the starter and take the engine almost completely out!!

  • Dam, I want super 44's now. I finally made up my mind with you vid. Perfect semi-gentle idle but sounds like when my exhaust fell off when you revved up...yeah. Super 44's man, thanx

  • Sounds great, I'm about to get this exact same setup i believe, just haven't decided on the super 44s yet

  • is this an o/r h pipe?

  • @crenshaw502

i have the slip fit flowtechs, there were cake to install! the whole point of the flowtechs is so you dont have to dissasemble steering shafts or jack the motor up

  • the flowtechs are supposed to be cut at the flanges. they are slip joint headers. the one tube wraps around the steering shaft. it wa a bitch getting them in the first time for sure. raise the whole front end of the car and squeeze them in from the bottom. then continue holding ti from the bottom while someone up top starts threading the flanges on

  • alright thanks man that helps...yeah everyone i talk to bout these headers there like dude you gotta lift the motor and remove a bunch of shit.

i was also wondering if you know where to look for MAC exhaust stuff??

  • dude there very ez to install the headers are made to come apart for easy installing lol yer spose to cut the part that meets the heads theres even marks were u cut at they then u put them in ... in pieces its cake lol

  • yeah. ill just end up havin to get some BBK full lengths since i guess those fit.
