This is my own synth remake of the Airwolf theme, 2nd/3rd season end credits version. Original score by Sylvester Levay and Udi Harpaz.

Here is the MP3 version, sorry for the delay:

  • Did you use a Fairlight when making your great remake? That would be really cool.

  • @sillybearwagon hehe! No, I used 10 instances of a great softsynth called PoiZone and a set of LinnDrum samples.

  • @Audionized Wow ! That is so close to the original, makes me wonder if you sound sampled the original. I dont know anything about music making but I can tell your really talented . Top stuff ! Very impressive.

Long shot as its not music but sound FX but no harm asking I guess. Ever thought of making the Rotor whistle/Turbo growl ? Dont know why, but those noises are addictive. I tried once to isolate them but failed badly as Im useless with mixing studio packages.

  • @Dookiedolf Thanks for the nice compliment Dookiedolf! Yes, sound FX is fun to make. You know, most synths used to ship with sounds that included helicopter rotor noise, and making sounds like that is generally not so hard. The turbo growl is cool -but as my aim usually is to replicate music without all the foley (-:

  • Thanks guys! The MP3 is now in the description. Sorry for the wait.

  • @Audionized You got another working link?

  • shit that badass helcopter coming to get me:)

  • reminds me of the NES ending

  • Pure.

  • By the way nice edit. I like it ;)

  • I love playing Choplifter HD to this good old tune.

  • You are fantastic!

  • Fantastic. You don´t recreate music, you make a tome machine! Great work man

  • @Dookiedolf Remaking the Airwolf foley shouldn't be too difficult after some trial and error. The rotor thump from an 80's synth as Audionized mentioned, the low howl is simply someone blowing gently over a bottle neck. Mix in a few real world aero turbines for flavour (particularly the Bell 222B) and away you go. 8-)
