The REAL reasons you dont use real guns in filming are that: 1. Every gun is ALWAYS loaded. 2 Never point a gun at something you dont want to destroy (co -stars)

It seems to be a Dan Wesson revolver, actually. Or a complete mockup.
Also, as informative as this video was, I was hoping to learn where the funding for these came from, as this stuff is pretty expensive.

@redsoxpats98 I'm pretty sure he uses After Effects for VFX and either FinalCut Pro or Premiere Pro for actually editing the footage and sound.

At 3 minutes in, you mentioned a hole in the bottom of the magazine for the gas nozzle. Well, my real M1911 (pronounced like the year) has a small pin in the butt plate of the magazine. So by making it more realistic, it actually became less realistic. Just a fun fact :)
