My Nintendo DSi had an accident...

I was playing with my DSi one day and it randomly turned off on me. I was wondering if the battery depleted, but it's light was still Blue. I thought it was the batteries problem, so I bought a new one and it stopped having a problem for like Half it's battery life (or more like 2 bars according to it's battery life indicator on the home screen). After that, it began to halve this problem AGAIN. I tried to look for help on the Internet (as if it always helps lol) but nothing came up for this problem. So, halp please?
