Tent City bringing attention to city's homeless problem

In downtown Spokane recently there has risen up a city of tents and tarps along a city street populated by homeless people and their supporters to bring awareness to the homeless problem in the Lilac City. KXLY4's Dave Erickson reports.

Ten year plan to cut homelessness in Half is not too impressive.

And not to mention tax free, you don't have to offer them benefits and such. Which saves the employer more in the long run.

We as Americans are getting phased out in our own country, it's sad isn't it?

Through out 12 years of school, they've always drilled into our heads that we needed college educations to survive. They should focus more on life skills and educating young adults how to work various jobs.

It's the well educated ones now that are too jobless. Ironic.

The woman that's speaking on here about the homeless issue is totally clueless about the people on the street, she is most likely a social worker or a city employee of another sort, who thinks she has all the solutions to put a stop too people living without conventional shelter, she would not last six months of true homelessness in the winter months, think about that as you lay in your warm bed at nights!

Come on, that's rediculous! It's like, "Oh ya, we kind of want to help, but we're only willing to do so much." Families are not the only homeless. what about individuals? "we're not gonna allow them to stay here." Where else are they gonna go? In a shelter that's already full? no. i guess they should starve to death and freeze to death while you wait to approve your budget and do your unknown plan. this is bull crap!
