@PulpFictionized I forgot to say that It's used for illegal Mexicans immigrants not for those that entered the US legally, anyway the term originally designated Mexicans who entered Texas by crossing the Rio Grande, presumably by swimming or wading across and getting their back wet in the process, that's why "wetback"
