The Caucasian Chalk Circle by Aftaab Theatre in Afghanistan - 2007

Aftaab Theatre was founded by Ariane Mnouchkine of Theatre Du Soleil in July - 05 - 2005.

Since then they have performed about 4 theatrical plays (Romeo & Juliet, Tars "Fear", Le Tartuffe and The Caucasian Chalk Circle).

Romeo and Juliet was directed by Maurice Durozier and Shaghayegh Beheshti, Le Tartuffe was directed by Helene Cinque and The Caucasian Chalk Circle was directed by Mr. Arash Absalan a very fine director, actor and writer from Tehran Iran who is also a leturer in Tehran Arts University. Maurice Durozier and Helene Cinque are members of Theatre Du Soleil.

Aftaab has performed in Afghanistan, Tajikistan, India, France for more then 50times and are looking forward to make their new play in Paris France. Aftaab is set to perform Le Tartuffe in Pakistan (2008) and in India (Delhi and Mumbai 2009).
