Since you're a fan (like me), wondered whether you knew the Souther, Hillman, Furay Band material. I have the 2 CD's and could share.

@attybong Try not to think of it as rusty, maybe as maturity. Try to respect and grow with it. I was fortunate to see J.D. back around 1976 opening for the Eagles, who he wrote or helped write many of their songs. The encore was J.D. and all of the Eagles band playig Tequilla Sunrise in a row, together on accoustics. It was unforgettable. I would still love to go see J.D. play somewhere. He's a fantastic songwriter and plays from the heart.

his fingers seem a bit rusty but its alright .. everybody grows old .. love this vid ...
this guy is still good

JD is such a classic! Talented songwriter. This song makes me wish I could go back to the early 70's for one Friday night and hang out at the Troubadour bar - what a cool time that must have been.
-
Can't help thinking the Eagles would have been somewhat less special without his involvement.

@glenn1411 I have the four CDs I was able to find by JD Souther: You're Only Lonely, Black Rose, Home by Dawn and his latest "If The World Was You". Have listened to them all several times but the "You're Only Lonely" CD remains my favorite at this point in time. I love the harmony of Phil Everly with JD on "White Rhythm and Blues" . The duet with James Taylor (who I remember as "Sweet Baby James" so you can tell I am an old lady!) Gotta love youtube for so many great songs for us all!
