They call them "Soap Operas" because of the commercials. In this classic from 1965, Chandra Allen -- mother of 6 and counting -- touts the softness of Ivory Snow with the help of her Ivory Snow babies Peter (#6) and Tommy (#5). Proud papa Jack Allen arranged the commercial through his contacts at Procter & Gamble while selling media spots for ABC. This spot originally aired during CBS's "The Guiding Light".
She appears to be ever so slightly sprinkled with down syndrome. The commercial
is (was) rather lackluster, but maybe they were just trying to understate the product
feeling that it wasn't necessary to razzle dazzle the viewers at the time.

A "TAD"!!! Six kids under six and pregnant -- challenged is an understatement. But, obviously she must have overcome the challenge and then some. Still alive and kicking at 75, with 25 grandchildren, is a feat I beg you to rival. It IS you!
