Mogwai and Super Furry Animals had a mutual appreciation for each other towards the end of the 90s and into the new millennium. This culminated with this collaboration between Mogwai and Gruff which plays on the word 'Dial'.
The song is about picking up the phone and seeing the message 'Dial' displayed. This has a double meaning when you factor in the Welsh translation of that word (pronounced 'Dee-Al) - ie, 'Revenge'.
