@TheotherPrometheus God told the children of Israel not to eat certain foods because they were unclean. Many Christian scientist for instance tell us that pork is harmful for our bodies and takes vital nutrients from us.God told the children of Israel not to eat they foods because of health reasons. The food he allowed them to eat are healthy. So some believe that food like pork should not be eaten.
Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself, but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean. (Rom 14:13-14, ESV)
@love4christx77 Certain foods were deemed unclean at all times, as were dead bodies, diseased things, etc. If we must avoid alcohol because the priests were told to do so before service, then why do we not avoid all other unclean or unholy things?
@TheotherPrometheus God never commanded not to eat a certain food before entering the temple. It is all about keeping our temple where the Holy Spirit dwells pure.
@TheotherPrometheus I am not if you truly understood the working of the temple in the OT and the Holy Spirit then you would understand the point I am making here.
@TheotherPrometheus It is clearly part of scripture. In Lev the priest were not to enter the presence of God after drinking a strong drink because it was unholy. We are made the temple of God and we our to keep this temple Holy.1 Cor 6:19-20What? know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have of God, and you are not your own?For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
There are no Christians.

@love4christx77 I understand your point completely. I just don't agree that it is valid.
How many of the other unholy objects and foods are we to abstain from touching or consuming?

@love4christx77 It is not part of scripture. You are combining two different concepts that are never combined in the Bible.

@love4christx77 ".Just because you have never had any one ever bring this point out dose not mean it is not valid"
It is not one made in the Scriptures.
I have yet to see a clear verse prohibiting Christians from drinking alcohol.
