Part 2/3 Thumb Sucking; Effect, Child Behaviour, Habit Breaking Appliance.

In part 2 we are going to demonstrate the trying in , cementation of the habit breaking appliance, the child positive behaviour before insertion and the negative behaviour immediatly after insertion of the appliance, the effect of the sucking habit on the thumb and the positive behaviour in the recall visits.

OMG, My daughter sucks her thumb and I want her to stop but I would never think about dooing something like that to my child Thats just crazy. How could she even eat? WoW

@missnikki951 youmust try the conservative methods first, this appliance is your last option, but it is very effective, safe, no problems in eating.

I'm 14 and still suck my thumb. This is completely stupid. I have been sucking since I was 1 and still have no problems. To do that to a child will make them unhappy.

You're Horrible! Can't you tell you were hurtin' the poor child!!! Thumb suckin's not that bad, especially when compared to a trauma induced fear of the dentist! That'll last her the rest of her lfe, she'll stop suckin' her thumb on her own sooner than she'll be over that!

@ElNassry I've sucked my thumb my whole life and it never had any affect on my teeth. In fact the number of children / people who have problems with their teeth due to their thumb sucking is low in comparison with those who have no troubles and they still suck. I don't want to stop and i never will till i am an old thumb sucking grandma....

what a GREAT job!! people in AMERICA just dont realize how bad the long term effects on the facial appearance is on the child letting them suck thumbs and binky's!! its not cute and the habit shouldn't go pass 2 yrs old!

i think its to late for me... and i aint getting that metal think in my mouth, i think ill just live with it (i did try to stop, but i dont feel what im doing when im sleeping)
