"Life As A House" Movie Location - From The Air

On the lower Los Angeles coast is the location where the movie "Life As A House" was shot. The movie starred Kevin Kline, Mary Steenburgen, Hayden Christensen, Kristen Scott Thomas, Jena Malone and was filmed in 2001. Linden Hudson shot these short video clips from the air in a private plane in 2007 flying back to Los Angeles from Santa Catalina in a private plane with a good buddy at the controls. The location seems bare and desolate from the air but when the film was shot they built several fake houses there and put down fake grass and streets. That's not so far out, Hollywood does things like that all the time when they're spending millions on a movie. No big deal. The movie "Life As A House" was directed by Irwin Winkler.
