I suggest you read the manga, but then again, after a particular event it is a big let down, i won't say what happens, cause it would be a real spoiler, but unless something remarkable happens Claymore won't be that great. Trust me if you haven't read the manga better stay with this ending...

I think if they created a second season my guess (or invention) is that they would begin again with the end of Pieta and then "restart" the series, possibly ignoring the ending before. You often see a series' manga, anime and then OVA all ignore one another's continuity and even whole series of events. I don't see it being totally unreasonable that two seasons of anime could be treated in this same way. Hey, for the sake of another season I would overlook it if they did!
