I first heard Djavan back in the mid eighties...I was listening to a lot of jazz legend Lee Ritenour, and one day I came across "Asa". It was the best song, hands down, on this particular record, and I'd never heard this singer before. Still to this day, Asa is one of my favorite songs, even though I still don't know what the song means. The language is simply beautiful. Full props from Tim in Canada.
