  • you eat 1200 cals, but do you eat processed foods? sugar makes us tired as you know. even eating meat can clog us up & make us lazy. I dont think its a question of too little cals, but what are the calories made up of? do you take vits? B complex is so important! Sam-e is a natural supplement to help depression, I use Doctors' Best brand but you have to take a B complex with it. dont give up keep pushing towards your goal, slow & steady wins the race.

  • @mshealthfirst - Nope, no processed foods. No sugar, no refined carbs, no yucky stuff. That is why I am confused as to why I am so tired and lethargic. It's weird! I also don't take any vitamins, but am thinking of taking B vitamins! Thanks so much hun! :D

  • You're not eating enough. I quit logging my eating cals for awhile on mfp but I add it up in my head. If I eat 1200 or less I feel like crap even if I dont work out that day and ate healthy. I average eat 1500-1600 and can do intense workouts and feel great

  • @follielafemme - I was thinking the same thing! Thanks so much! :D

  • Maybe you aren't getting enough iron....I know that tiredness and those kind of symptoms can be caused by an iron deficiency.

  • @layc21 - the last time I felt like this, I went to the doctor and they didn't even check my blood. Then I started eating more and I felt much better, so I really don't know what to do. I guess I am just going to have to figure out what my body needs. That is what sucks about losing weight the most! :D

  • @2fabfromfat - I spoke with a trainer/nutritionist at my gym and she said everything was great, only I need to not get my heart rate up as much while exercising and to break it down to only 3 days a week and never in a row! Hopefully that will make a huge difference. I just still can't see how I can be so tired a week after still. Thanks hun!

  • I don't think your calories are too low personally... I think 1200 is a good amount of calories to aim for when trying to lose weight, and I don't typically count my exercise calories cuz that's just bonus! Lol as far as energy I think if you start taking vitamin b complex with b12 you would notice a difference! I've found this whole weight loss journey is an emotional one as well so I think it's normal to have the ups and downs :). Just keep moving forward :)

  • @loganava1 - wow! I just spoke to a trainer at the gym and she told me I am eating enough, but I just need to tone down how much I am working out if I am not just doing cardio. She also told me that I am getting my heart rate up way too high and that is burning me out as well and possibly I am burning muscle instead of building lean muscle. Not good :(

  • @Dragonfire7164 - Thanks so much! I got the link and I appreciate it very much! :D
