make one from a ball light shade and seal off the top

before i light my fuel cell, i PREHEAT my sky lantern with a simple propane torch until it starts to float then i light my fuel cell so it can gain more altitude beside wasting 1 minute of burntime from the fuel cell, it works great

@james58390, sounds like you are a loser, posting a stupid comment, have you flew a sky lantern, obviously not, ever seen how a hot air balloon operate? not really, when a fire is going, the balloon is going to gain altitude, and will do so while it's still burning, when the fuel runs out, the fire is gone, and it will lose altitude, by the time it reaches the ground, the fuel cell ashes will be cooled down before it touches the ground

james58390 maybe if you knew a little more about physics you would not be saying such remarks. These balloons are SAFE, they will only land when they no longer have fire. If you noticed, once the balloon was lit it flew upright. It is the way it would behave!
