For many years people would visit my art studio and always mention to me that I needed to copyright my works, especially a few favorites including "Mother and Child" & "The Angel." I would always just "yes" people to death because I didn't have a clue as to how to copyright something, even after many tried to explain the process. I was always fearful that someone would use my new type of artwork for their own benefit and there wouldn't be a thing I could say about it. Then I heard about LegalZoom and they took all of the worries that I had and threw them out the door. I never once felt stupid asking questions about copyrights, and every single time I did have a question, they were lightning fast with either an email or a phone call, especially Clare! What a pleasure! I know that when I copyright other pieces of my artwork in the future, I can feel comfortable, which wasn't always the case before I discovered LegalZoom. firstsharpieartist.com | LegalZoom Customer Story Contest
Im a student, thanks for the heads up. You say "you'll be in big trouble later on", why?? Is it because people will try to use your work without your knowing? Just want to know. I know there's some inherent protections under the Digital Milinnium copyright act and the Berne convention.
