@Jackle61 you can still breathe in nitrous oxide. I never said anything about breathing in additives. The molecule itself will work. I was just explaining what the musician was insinuating by inhaling the Holley bottles. But yeah, less someone get the idea that you can just grab a bottle from your car and get high, your advice is good.

@elenchus WRONG!!!!! NEVER inhale automotive nitrous! Automotive nitrous has sulfur dioxide in it that can be extremely harmful to your lungs. You should only inhale food grade (used as a propellant for whip cream and other foods) or as you mention dentists, use Medical grade. (more pure than food grade) Kind of like if you ran diesel fuel in your non-diesel car vs regular gas, then premium.

@TheGilbert2001 it's nitrous oxide, it's used to make engines more powerful...but you can breathe it and it'll get you high or, more likely, just make you unconscious. It's often used as an anesthetic for dentists.
