  • When is Trudy coming to Coney Island?

  • @jimamia77

Good question - I will see what Dave thinks when I see him. Another good question is where is the Bruder organ that was on the B&B Carousel that was supposedly being restored for use by the Parachute Jump in the new Steeplechase Plaza?

  • What are the vertical metal cylinder pipes right up front? I play the electronic theater organ and although I'm really into organs I don't know a whole lot about the particulars of pipe organ construction, just basic function and which pipe is which. I am a tone freak so I like the transistorized individual oscillator designs of Conn, but have 11 organs and only one is a Conn. Variety keeps organ playing interesting.

  • Absolutely a great instrument, and being homemade it keeps a special skill set alive in the modern world.

You do realize that this is effectively a COMPUTER don't you? It has all the same parts that do the same thing...only a lot more enjoyably than more modern versions do.

  • This Organ is right up there With the BEST european machines. Great job !!!

  • @acoustics101 Nope, not one of the largest...not by a long shot. However, I must say given it's size, Trudy can do more than I have heard from other organs of similar size. That being said, it is one of the best sounding organs I have come across. I agree with the tremulant effect. I have not heard a nicer effect like that. I am curious as to how that is done on Trudy.

  • Wow! A band organ with a refined sound! Good work! Sounds like a theatre organ.

  • Amazing! Thank you for uploading.

  • These arrangements make Trudy one of the most "big band" sounding band organs I've ever heard!

The only downside is that the audio in the camcorder overloaded and has some distortion. Personally, I'd like for camcorders to have an option for manual audio control. That would give back some of the dynamics. It seems that the only way you can get past that is to back off. Then background noise contaminates the sound.

    Thanks for posting!
