  • Pretty good with a few new twists such as a good view of the outside of the apartment building.

  • Dennis does a wonderful Ed Norton impression! Who would have thought?

  • It's quite possible the "integrated comedy commercial" for Lucky Strike (usually delivered by Don Wilson in a clever way) occured at :16, followed by Jack saying something like, "And now, we're going to present OUR version of that wonderful Jackie Gleason sketch, 'The Honeymooners', with our guest star, Audrey Meadows, recreating her role as 'Alice'...music, if you please, Mahlon..."- and, of course, "snipped out" of this kinnie [remember, this is an Armed Forces rebroadcast, 'AC'].

  • I looked for the jump in the scene...where Audrey/Alice walks out of one door and then there's the edit and she walks out the second door on the right hand side of the screen. i wonder if the owners of those shows ever watch the edited versions? if they do, they should be able to get a sense of why a lot of people insist on having un-cut performances. the editing on this episode, by whoever, certainly wasn't trying to be subtle.

  • there was more editing done at 0:16 and 0:17 because it cuts away from Jack after he says "uphill" and then briefly shows Jack again as if he's introducing the skit...there's serious edits going on...something else odd...Jack never even made mention of Audrey Meadows being his guest during any part of the opening segment.

So, his mentioning who his guest of the night was must have been cut out after he said the remark about Dennis' career going uphill.

    Funny sketch, though!

  • There was an "integrated commercial" for Luckies at :33 (since this was an AFRTS kinescope, it's omitted)- note that "Alice" suddenly jumps from emerging from the bedroom door to- REENTERING the apartment...? This, I believe, was where the "commercial" originally appeared. Even though this sketch was "authorized" by Jackie Gleason {Jack actually asked his permission to do it, as a courtesy}, his attitude was that the apartment would NEVER have a telephone [at least when HE was "Ralph"].

  • LOL!
