Who would've ever thought, that such a tiny person, weighing no more than 125 lbs. would become such a bigger-than-life comic genius! No comedian nor actor, can hold a candle to him. Same applies to other silent film greats, like Keaton, Lloyd, and Laurel and Hardy to name a few. Today's comedians should sit up and take note, as to what good, wholesome humor is; they'd be blown away.
As amazing as the gags and the stunts are in this scene, I'm completely absorbed and fascinated by the score. Does anyone know the name of this score? Chaplin was a genius in every sense of the word, he organized and humanized cinematic comedy when it was still in its infancy. Grossly overlook and unappreciated, Max Linder deserves some attention and credit as well, he was one of the earliest comedians on film, and the primary influence on Chaplin.
I can’t begin to tell you how hard this made me laugh the first time I saw it, and how much it STILL makes me laugh. It’s probably one of my all-time favorite comedic moments in cinema. (Also one of my all-time favorite films)
@Tecun85 The music score was originally composed by Chaplin for this film as he did for most of his films..

Sometimes we really forget what Charlie Chaplin has done for us through movies.
