  • Hi Legendary Goetz. Thanks for the question. You're doing all the right things to get over your shin splints - rest, ice, and stretching your calf muscles are all important.

    As you mentioned, it may be caused by poorly fitting shoes. You can also try using arch supports.

    If the pain persists, you may have to limit your participation in football until your shin splints resolve .

  • LOL wow the two middle people have horrible shoes, if they are experiencing shin splints i suggest ditching those "running" shoes =P

    PS i am trying to escape these shin splints. I have had football for weeks now, every day of the week, and i do a lot of running. I ice, rest at night, and strech my calfs. What do you suggest i do to stop these pains?
