C-FLZR Boeing 737-800 over Central Europe during the 5 hour red-eye flight from LCA to DUB, on September 5th 2011. This plane, although leased from Sunwing (Canada) has full Thomson livery, and interior. Seat 9A.

  • 737's range is like 6 and a half hours. Sharm took us 5 hours 30 mins across and 6 hours 10 home. Usually Larnaca is 4 hours 30 minutes so i've been told.. was there any different winds or so that night?? How long was the outbound?

  • @airbusmad LCA is usually around 4 1/2 out and 5 1/2 back. There were light headwinds on the way back, so it worked out well.

  • 5 hours? really wow thats long

  • @Aviationnation10 Not for that route. 5 hours dead is actually quick enough for LCA-DUB. 5 1/2 hours from Larnaca to Dublin is the norm usually. Sure, the plane goes to Sharm el Sheikh too.

  • @EIDEP god thats long in a 737! I prefer the A320 personally I was on a Mistral Air 737-300 from ORK-VRN had the same new style seats with the seat pockets at the top

  • @Aviationnation10 I prefer the A320 too, but the 737 was a nice plane for the flights that were in it. I have more photos in a Trip Report I did on A.Net, if you're interested.
