Ulagalla Resort is ideally located in the hamlet of Tirappane, 40 km north of the Dambulla- Anuradhapura road. Anuradhapura is 20 km from the property and it is extremely convenient to access the cultural triangle sites and other historic sites from Ulagalla Resort.
Ulagalla Resort Accommodation
The property borders two ancient reservoirs and the lower level of the main Walawwa is the reception/ lobby area; it also includes a coffee lounge and fine dining restaurant on the upper floor. Ulagalla Resort consists of 25 elegantly laid out luxury chalets scattered over an unrestricted area of 58 acres. Most of the chalets overlook the reservoir while some overlook the flourishing paddy cultivation. The paddy fields give our valued guests an opportunity to experience the traditions of paddy cultivation in Sri Lanka first-hand. Keeping with the "Go Green" concept, 50% of the energy requirement will be generated through solar power; the resort has the largest solar farm in the country with a capacity of 125 KVA.

In majority, this eco friendly resort was made using green building material, Durra, and will be going for Leed certification soon. The resort did not cut down any trees during construction and even planted 1000 root balled trees on the property. Fresh organic fruits and vegetables are available to guests.

Each chalet consists of a floor area of 800 sq. feet which include a separate living area. The chalets are furnished with elegance and comfort while combining state-of-the-art amenities and each chalet offers a tranquil court yard and private plunge pool. Our chalets are able to accommodate handicapped guests comfortably.

The property also a boasts a 30 metre fresh water swimming pool and electric cars to shuttle guests within the vast compound. Our team of highly qualified chefs will create gourmet cuisine to suit individual needs of every guest. An ayurvedic spa is available to rejuvenate the mind while an extensive fitness centre is available to rejuvenate the body. Recreational facilities such as horse riding, archery, billiards, canoe rides and many others are available.
