@blueflame7000 A little clarification on that, WWWF ( as it was originally known ) dropped one W and thus shared the same acronym as the Wildlife Fund, which caused the Fund to threaten legal action. The compromise was that the Wrestling logo had 1 W on top of the other as opposed to the normal spelling. With the advent of the internet, you couldn't type 2 w's the way it appeared in the logo. So the Wildlife Fund sued in the EU courts to prevent WWF from having the same acronym online.

O.k, the guy making that video forge that political alliance are made and destroy on a daily basis, because people learn stuff and change opinion quickly...Bernhard was a nazi in 1938, but, if it was not for the protection of the aristocrat, he would have been considered to the German empire as a treator and a public enemy by 1941, after doing the equivalent of calling Hitler an asshole live on the BBC. Bernhard was certainly not a nazi by conviction and was not talking to his brothers.

@jacobvardy Not true. If you actually did your homework before commenting you would know that the World Wildlife Fund in america was fine with the World Wrestling Federation using the WWF logo. Until the members from Europe got pissy and said they wanted them to change.

so what...
he killed jews and saved Panda bears, he was a good man
-
omg you got me there...good one

@HenkJanPit, he was definitely an aristo - a Prince of Lippe-Biesterfeld before the German Republic ended the nobility. I understand that his family, like a lot of the German aristocracy, lost their titles but little of their wealth.
-
@jacobvardy The problem however with that theory, is that Bernhard was no aristocrat, nor was he rich, before he married to Juliana in 1937.

this video is a bit misleading...im living in the netherlands and im studying history so i kno quite alot about prince bastard...i mean bernard...he didnt join the nazi on his own free will, remember everyone was ordered to join the nazi's ( SS and hitlerjugend etc) and it was never proofed that he was a spy for the SS...but the man wasnt a saint either google prince bastard from the netherlands and you will see what i mean
