Maoistrebelnews2 original response to the video contending forced abortions do happen in China:
"Its a lie, there are cases where a husband had forced his wife to be sterilized. But that was the action of husbands, not the state. It was an act of misogyny, not state."
The video response he made (after I took this video down) where he actually goes into more detail about why he rejects the idea of forced abortions in China:

Thank you. I'm sorry I haven't watched every video you've ever made. You could have referred me to a few of them in the first place, would've saved some time. Note what he says about 3 minutes in about individual acts of misogyny...are not husbands individuals? Last I checked, yes. Talk about putting words in the mouths of others...I never said it MUST be the state, only that it COULD be.
Yes, I mention the persecution of Christians. Why? Because that is what originally called my attention to the fact that there is no free speech in China...which makes the truth hard to obtain. So to state categorically "forced abortions don't happen" seems presumptuous to me. Call me crazy. The persecution I was referring to was disallowing free speech and practice with regard to any religion (including Christianity).
There is censorship within China...so who is to say anyone but the woman forced to have the abortion (and maybe her family) would have to know about it? It would make sense for the Chinese gov't to only used forced abortion/sterilizations in highly selective circumstances where they were certain they could do it with out it being publicized.
I NEVER said they do happen. I am WILLING TO BELIEVE they do not. I just said your original video wasn't convincing, and it was not.
It would seem, if Human Rights without Fronteirs has waged such a sucessful battle in publicizing this issue, there is some basis for it somewhere. So how about a knowledgable person talking about why those specific people making the accusations would lie about it or how it is known for a fact people have lied about it, not just in a few instances but EVERY instance where the Chinese gov't is accused of forced abortion/sterilization?
The primary purpose of this video is to gather more information. Facts I would like Maoistrebelnews2 to refute:
Chinese media is heavily censored by the gov't.
If forced abortions and sterilizations do take place in China, the Chinese gov't would have great incentive to lie about it/cover it up.
People who experience unpleasantness at the hands of the Chinese gov't (like being forced to have abortions/sterilizations) are probably more likely to be thrown in jail indefinitely if they attempted to speak out against or resist or publicize this practice than be able to get their stories to western media outlets.
Your video doesn't give any credible testimony that would convince anyone the Chinese gov't does not force abortions or sterilizations, ever, nowadays.
But apparently asking for actual testimony from an independent source with great knowledge about China means I am "presenting facts"????
Whatever.

@12bemyfan Yes, America has a lot of problems. Most people in the world have a lot of problems. Is having one's own problems sufficient reason to not to care about anyone else? I think not. Peace.

So your contention is that nothing horrible ever happens in China? It's just so outrageous and unreasonable to think it could happen to anyone anywhere? You're right that America does not consistently support free speech (I never said they did)...it's a travesty. I'll even go as far to say that coerced and forced abortions most likely happen in America because of greed or hypocrisy or worse...forced sterilizations have happened too (that's a fact). It's a really shitty world.
