Paddy Barnes, Paddy Gallagher and Eamonn O'Kane have won Northern Ireland's first Commonwealth Games gold medals in boxing for 16 years.

Light flyweight Barnes, bronze medallist at the Beijing Olympics, beat defending champion Jafet Uutoni of Namibia 8-4 on points.

Gallagher followed that with an 11-6 success over England's Callum Smith.

Team captain O'Kane, from Dungiven, then saw off England's Anthony Ogogo 16-4 in a one-sided middleweight final.

Nineteen-year-old Thomas McCarthy got a silver medal after being outpointed in the light heavyweight class in the Talkatora Stadium in Delhi.

  • why is everyone arguing about the flag. I think its a stupid thing to argue about. Of course Northern Ireland is going to be represented by the Northern Ireland flag :P this is the commonwealth games. All the countries and regions of the British Commonwealth of nations compete its supposed to bring people together.

  • @crinnigan07: Better than having a discoloured french womans rag as a flag.

  • @kanenkitten What do you find wrong with the tri colour? If you unionists even knew what it represented ya fools! Also the man himself would rather his, yours and mine national anthem & national flag. Another thing, there is 9 counties of Ulster and that is not the Ulster flag. Ha your for real son, that rag is just a st georges flag with the red hand of ulster in it ( Irish nationalist symbol ), unionist ignorance is brilliant.

  • @crinnigan07: And look like every european country that uses a tricolour? No, The Ulster Banner is the best looking flag I've seen in terms of design as it encompasses all of NI with the star to represent the 6 counties and red hand for Ulster.

  • @SuperTrekNerd Mine and your national flag, the tri colour. This is disgusting, the man himself would rather the soldier song and the tri colour.

  • @jrtThfc The Ulster Banner looks way nicer than the green rag, sorry but its disgusting looking..

  • @jrtThfc they were competing for Northern Ireland, the right flag was raised. religion has nothing to do with it!!

    well done lads.

  • @kanenkitten seen your utube page your just a biggoted nut job

  • @jrtThfc: It's better than that discoloured French woman's rag that the nationalists use.
