Same here yet I had some help since I played with username 10000K which let me well prepare for the battle with this Shadow Beast indeed but I do agree with you for there were times when I temporarily lost the benefits of the 10000K benefactor and I had to face this Shadow Fiend with what items and help I had gathered from across the 8 realms and those were the items that gelped me conquer that Dark Shadow Being but I also agre with you that it was the most best looking boss in GDL though. :D

Ugh! this guy was a pain in the but when you did not have the lamp (whitch you find in the second level of "his" relam) and you were not a legend and did not have in visablity on Omgosh HE WAS A BIG FAT MEANY YO! D; but he did look cool and music is awsome ;D

I love the guitar-chugging in this. It gives it a really fast paced feel, that makes you want to hurry up and be done with him until he blasts you with dark tentacles and utterly destroys you. And then you buy a different item and try again.

AH MAN! this boss was such a pain! I can't remember how many times I was trying to get into the desecrated temple without this dude beatin my ass.

I thought this boss was challenging and it was a great battle with or without the legend item. And he is the 2nd boss of the only 2 with a life draining attack (dark veil spider thing he throws at you). Also at some moments in the battle, he wipes sweat from his forehead as if he's getting worn out from a battle like the heroes are. One of the best bosses in the game.
