The bottom line on controlled demolition is a matter of 8th grade physics. When things fall, they speed up. When they meet resistance, they slow down. These 3 building sped up the whole way down, even though they were falling through the path of greatest resistance. That is not possible unless the supporting structure is removed. The only way to remove the supporting structure is by controlled demolition.
