  • An easy way to pronounce the French "u" is to say "ee" (as in "meet") with rounded lips (same position your lips are when pronouncing "oo" as in "spoon").

  • You maybe right to pronounce "legume" the way you did at 2:20.

    But since this word do not exist in french vocabulary I 'd rather recommend to learn the word "légume" with "é" .It means :vegetable.
