The cat even saw when the guy was setting up the trap. I know its a domestic animal, but sheeesh, its like saying "so this is the electric chair, can I try it out to make sure it works?" lol

Yeah, you forgot to put a towel over the cage! Cats gets stressed very highly when they get trapped and want to get out so much they look around for ways to get out. But with the towel over the cage the cat calms down because it doesn't see anything around except the front of the cage. It is unhumane not to put the towel over the cage, but it is humane to put the towel over the cage before a cat gets trap in there.

He was so free.. then his life just got trap for one lousy meal.. but i do think you did set him free again else where.. very thoughtful at the end.

That's awesome that the feral cat was caught to be fixed - There was a feral cat close and it had kittens - the people said if you can catch them you can have them - we did and he's like 5 now - the problem is and I looked it up on here if you don't catch them soon enough then they'll always be shy and he is -you cant go to him he has to come to you the silly thing.

This is to all. I did have him fixed and released him in this very same spot. He continued to visit for another year until I had to move. Unfortunately I couldn't take him with me but there were plenty of neighbors to keep an eye for him and feed. I thought of him often for many months after and still saddens me for leaving him behind.
