@WanderingTwin1 anything narrower then shoulder width is close grip dumb fuck. You can't go thumb width with this kinda weight without hurting your wrists. This is a legit lift!

@WanderingTwin1 he's grip is fine.. that's way closer than my regular bench too
-
That aint close grip, it's almost at bench press width. now grip thumb width apart, even closer that impressive and how i train.

Would floor pressing work out pecs?

it really doesn't matter if you use bench or floor for yourself being that you didnt touch the floor once with any part of your arm; so basically it was pointless other than attempting to look badass with your beanie and fuckin volleyball ass elbow pads...what a fucking faggot
hey whats the difference between benching on a bench and benching on the floor??

Benching on the floor reduces ROM (range of motion) because your arms will stop the bar when they hit the floor. This makes this an excellent exercise to strengthen the midpoint of the bench and overloads the triceps harder.
If that is you in your videos I would not worry about special movements. Learn proper form and perform all movements with FULL range of motion.

is this mainly a tricep exercise, would this help improve my fkat bench, i need to build strenghth in my triceps

This exercise works your chest, shoulders and triceps but because it floor press and close grip it will put more tension on the triceps. Bench helps build bench use assistance as necessary. Have a goal and thought out plan and execute.

Dose going off the floor save your shoulder joints?

Doing these on the floor changes the mechanics of the exercise. It's not to save your shoulder joints. I use this exercise mainly for triceps (lockout) thus close grip and elbows tucked close to my sides. It does not bother my shoulder joints. You can experiment with this, but if the flat bench aggravates your shoulder joints I am pretty sure this exercise will too.
