@KaydixEatsxBabies you can bring bobby pins and hair spray but the spray has to be a squirt kind not the arisol kind

@KyoushuZurui a friend of mine just went into the army with hair past her buns and she's 5'3", she told me the sock trick is difficult because of all the extra hair to twirl around and it makes the bun look like its being pushed out. Just do a normal hair bun and twist around and make sure to very taming hair spray for fly aways and hair that wants to stick out :) hope i helped a little

This is so hard to do x_x
I'm an Air Cadet in Canada and my hair goes half way down my back and I can do the bun part, its just the extra hair that I have to 'twist and tuck' is impossible to do since I also have layers so half my hair is long half my hair is by my boobs
I'll figure it out eventually

I ship out for USMC boot camp in about a month, and my hair goes all the way to my butt and I'm 5'5''. Does this sock styling technique work for hair that long or do I need to get a haircut? No other girls in the pool have hair as long as mine so none of them know.

Does your hair have to be parted or can you just pull it all back?

I wish my hair looked that good when I put it in a sock bun
Can you really spend the time on your hair like this in basic though?
I thought you couldn't bring hairspray or bobby pins.
