You are one fast carver. I wish I could hire three of you for my business.

i've just begun carving small (very small) rocks with a dremel tool and diamond bits (i'll be working up to milk carton size next and using a combo of dremel, chisels et al) and i can honestly say i also wish you had your own show. i learned more each minute from watching you do this than i have from a month with my teeny tools. that was AWESOME! A+ -frank- / model daughters

what kind of rock did you used? Remember Moais were carved from tuff, a very soft rock made of compact volcanic ash.
Several unfinished Moai statues, were left unfinished because the islanders found harder rock amid the tuff, so, unable to carve them, they just started a new one.

@rogerpenna its sandstone from the Sydney basin.i would say it is medium to hard density in regards to sandstone.some is too soft to work, and weathers too fast.the kind i used is easy enough to work and will last a long time.thanx for commenting
